Paint Mask Help

I originally posted this in the wrong place. Sorry. Anyway… I've been experimenting with paint-masking vinyl for larger graphics. However, even with heavy burnishing, some paint (applied with a fine foam roller) always seeps under the mask, and the result is unsatisfactory. I've tried the Avery and Oracal products, supposedly formulated for "rough surfaces", and the results are uniformly bad. Thanks.

two thing that have worked for me are, one put on a light coat at edge of tape and let dry. Or either paint base coat color (same as background) or clear at seam of tape and let dry.

a good wiping of the surface with isopropyl alcohol, prior to the application of paint mask, has always done the trick for me! I also always peel my paint mask before it is fully dry, cleaner lines.
