Partial prints

Anyone have SOME images that only print partly? Meaning, I have several images ganged together for printing, and there are a couple that quit printing say half-way thru, but the other images surrounding these still continue to print fine?!?! Sometimes I can rectify this by simply rotating the image, re-RIPing, then reprinting the images...but sometimes that doesn't work either. Sounds like MAYBE a RIP issue, but I sure don't know...any ideas here?

That's a new one on me . . . You're saying if you had 9-images on 3-rows of 3,
the center image might stop printing, but everything else around it will still print.

Is this a correct analogy ?

WOW ! . . . Never heard of such a thing happening . . . Doesn't even seem possible !

Is it possible that a particular image is corrupt,
or do different images do the same thing if you mix up the order of the layout ?

Is it the same image?..........If it is you know what to do.....

If it ain't then is it the image with the largest size thats doing it? It might be a rip problem with the larger files.........

Could be you printer Chris. Although your probably up sh** creek because of that aftermarket ink delivery system you have on there. (Just kidding);.)

Ended up converting the offending image to raster (was a mixture), but it was a P/L/C item, so had to retain the cut line. I've had this occur from time to time on the odd job, but never sure as to what the problem truly is.

Chris,

Very interesting...

I've had similar issues with the layout feature in Wasatch, but it's normally due to layout size. However, I've never had an image skip print and continue on another one before.

Was the original finicky file a PDF before you converted it? I know that the PDF support on 6.0 was not as strong as the newer versions because I would have to convert everything to .ps files for accurate printing. Keep me in the loop, I'd be very interested to know the source of the problem: file or RIP.

I try to use almost strictly PDF files for OUTPUT, but the original was a Corel file, then exported as PDF (like I do for nearly every other file). So the later versions of Wasatch have addressed some more of the PDF issues? I've resisted upgrading to later versions as they didn't seem to really offer much.

Speaking of upgrading, can I buy my upgrade thru you guys? In the past, I just bought thru Wasatch, but would certainly throw you guys a bone if I can.
