PC-600 printing dark colors

When printing, colors are much darker then what you see on screen. A default blue is almost a dark purple and red is dark orangish. How do I adjust the colors I am getting? A system test prints like this too so I dont think its in my software. I am using Flexi if that helps.

Also it looks like print is over lapping. Like an object will have a darker shaded line in the colors... whats this adjustment?

Other than using Spot color settings, this is the very nature of that machine. A sample picture may also be helpful.

overlap problem would be some sort of print feed adjust - not familiar with the machine, but there is probably a setting somewhere....if it overlaps, up the % - if it shows white inbetween passes, lower it

-Read up on rendering intent and try some changes in Flexi.
-Print out a color chart to select your colors from.
-Line pitch adjustment on the printer will help with your overlaps.

Mike Paul is correct.

You will get better print quality changing the default rendering intents, change vectors to "Spot Color" & bitmaps to "Relative Colormetric"

For color matching what I found useful was a downloadable CMYK color chart from Trumatch, it contains 50 basic colors. Print out a reference chart of these colors and create a swatch table from the file then design with the desired colors, you can tweak the colors from there but this is a good starting point. It's been quite some time so I do not recall the download link or where in the world I put the CMYK file but if you want I can e-mail you the Trumatch swatch table I created for Flexi, it also contains Roland spot colors (see pic).

PM me your e-mail address if you want the swatch table file and I should also be able to locate the Trumatch CMYK file as well.
