pdf file is corrupt?

The last couple .pdf people have sent me tll me " file is corrupt" when i try and bring it in Corel x3
is this something I'm doing or customers file?

Maybe they were created with a later version than Corel supports!

Yes, this is likely. Try opening in Acrobat Reader first - at least you'll see if the file is ok.

Open in something else like Illustrator and re-save . . . !

I have had the same issue in the last few weeks. Sometimes even resaving from illy doesn't work.

I opened it in ill and it worked on 1 but 1 of them says theres not enough memory.. oh well I'll just print & hand cut them..

place in indy and re-fry the pdf out

or open in acrobat a take a peek

opening in illy (do NOT let the "adobe" police hear you're doing this) is ok if fonts are outlined - you might get errors and font issues if not - file size may be fun too

i agree the pdf may be a 1.7 or pdfx4 - probably newer than corel can handle (i've never used corel )

Well believe it or not but sometimes it works when in import mode you actually select the pdf import filter and then hit import oppose to using the all files import selection., personally I hate PDF the colors are always off and printing actual colors as whats seen on the screen is always different.
I wish JPG had a multipage format, I would never look back at pdf junk.
