Peachtree Acct. & Sales Tax

I use Peachtree Complete 2009 to handle my business and have recently had a number of out of state purchases on which I do not charge sales tax. The number of these out of state purchases will likely grow rapidly in the near future.

I am wondering if there is a way, given a customers address that is out of state, that Peachtree can automatically change the sales tax from the sales tax item I have set up for my state to that of 'exempt' or 'outofstate' or something similar?

Sorry if this in the wrong forum, please move if it belongs elsewhere.

TIA

If it's similar to QuickBooks, there should be a way to set up the client profile as tax exempt.

Brian,

Goto the menu item "Maintain" then "Sales Taxes". From there you can set up any type of taxing you need. Then in Maintain Customer you set what tax type they are.
