pen tablet

What would be a good starter pen tablet? I can decide bc i know very lil about them but i heard that wacom is good but they are very expensive..... can anyone help?

I have the 9"x12" model and it works just fine in corel and illustrator,photoshop etc.,.... and the cost is less than half of a wacom the same size,..as for the extra pressure levels I doubt 99 out of 100 people would notice the difference,.....http://www.adesso-shop.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=9
