perforated window vinyl printing short

Im wondering if anyone has noticed window perf coming out of the printer shorter than intended? We use an HP latex 365 and I havnt noticed this with other printers, but Ive noticed lately that im losing about an inch of length for every five feet. Doesnt seem to be doing the same with normal wrap vinyl and my guess is that it is shrinking while drying through the printer, but Im not positive.

hm. i do not have flexi. any flexi guys here may have a better handle. it would be under output size compensation if you can find it. in caldera, all i have to do is input expected length and measured length, then it calculates % of stretch over x amount of length. check it regularly and you should be able to keep it pretty steady from roll to roll.

Flexi has this as well In Production Manager, click on the arrow beside the printer on the Blue line and select output size compensation:

But I'm guessing that the OMAS is getting fooled by the perforations. 1 inch in 60 is huge. Try disabling that on the printer and see what you get. Output size compensation will only work if the printer is calibrated properly.

Good Luck,
Joe
