Over here it's free to have your business listed in the Yellow Pages (YP), but costs a fortune to take out an advertisement. The same yellow pages are on the net, so I get a free listing there as well. I always ask new customers where they found my business and about 1/4 say YP .... mostly online with only a few say YP phone book.
