From my experience, most designers are just plain disorganized and I see this reflected in their original files. You CAN group layers with PS and Name them . You can also use SMART OBJECTS. Then again. Im a little anal where keeping my work tidy is concerned. Anything sent for print is almost ALWAYS in pdf and flattened if done in PS. The only time I send non flattened work is Vector Layouts done in Illy. I expect to recieve the same and generally dont wast my time if the file is not up to par. Pass the hot potato on to whos responsible.
