Photoshop - Looking for Photoshop Brushes?

At the risk of exposing myself as a complete PS amateur.... when I download the brushes they are .rar files and the CS4 brush files are ABR....
I tried changing the extension to abr but it says the file is incompatible with this version of photoshop... :(

.rar files are kind of like a competitor to .zip files. Try this.

brushes are super easy to make as well, if you see any picture you like that has a texture you want or anything like that. just change it to black and white and bam, its done. sometimes you will need to adjust levels and things like that, but pretty easy to do. if you want something that someone else doesn't have...
