Photoshop question

I create text or a shape in photoshop, then add a fill pattern, and/or a contour bevel. When I print this out on my desktop printer, the fill pattern nor the bevel are evident....just the basic fill color.

Why?

Any help would be appreciated.

OK tried "save as" to a jpg, and the jpg is a solid color also. No pattern or bevel.

:help

thanks anyways.

Guess I'll just have to run with what I have here, for now. We'll figure it out when I get back.

Thanks for the quick responses anyways.:U Rock:

That's strange but if your under the gun hit "Print Screen" and print the screen shot from a new file.

Something is seriously wrong with what you're relating.
LOL....yeah, thats the reason for my post. Given enough time, I can screw anything up.

I created a new file this morning in photoshop. I simply typed out a word, then applied a bevel and a pattern overlay....it printed out fine.

The file I was working with yesterday had 4 layers. A tif juice drop background.... a layer of text....a cropped photo layer.... and finally a layer that consisted of a diamond shape, that was created in photoshop (not imported). This diamond shape had the bevel and pattern overlay that was causing me the problem.

Everything printed out fine, except the one layer that I didn't expect a problem with .....the diamond shape.

I only dabble with photoshop, so I'm sure the problem is with the user (me).

Did you rasterize all the layers?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
Merge shapes etc. in to the layer and then rasterize them and you will see what you are going to get when you print.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
PS: Its right mouse click on the layer then rasterize :)<o:p></o:p>
