That's the pinch roller sensor and it's installed on the back of the cut carriage. It measures the position of the rollers which is why you are getting that error. I'd contact Denco or Midwest for the part.
Hello, Did you ever figure out what the problem was? I am having the same problem, I replaced both 15 pin cable-card and the pinch roller sensor and still have the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello there Im in the same boat it seems like with my issue. Did you resolve it and is there any suggestions you can give me. sp540v invalid id right pos error. Replaced the cable - sensor - cut carriage board. Stuck on where to go next. Thank you.
