pirate/skeleton images

We have a guy wanting us to do his race car in a pirate/skeleton theme. He's a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get images that will be clear when blown up that large? I usually work in Flexi, but I've been trying to learn Photoshop CS2.
