Platen has no suction? Clean your fan.

I bought a used Roland SP-300V and it's been working like a dream--except there was barely any suction on the platen, if any. So I watched a YouTube tutorial, took the plates off the front and rear, removed the ducted fan from the assembly and....dust city, population: me. I brushed it and vacuumed it, blew out all the dust bunnies in the chamber below, put everything back together and now it's good to go. The vinyl holds fast to the platen and I can worry less about head strikes and whatnot. Shoutout to the other poster on here from a few years ago that did the same thing and posted their own super-dusty fan. Pic attached, it's my ducted fan before cleaning. Blechh!
