i went through all of my fonts and couldn't match it. any suggestions would be appreciated!

It looks like it might be [New] Century Schoolbook Bold Italic that has been squished and perhaps a little outline to fatten everything (but that could just be pixelation at low res, I don't know).
The only thing that makes me think it might actually be something else (close) is that the x-height seems to be greater in the sample than in any version of Century Schoolbook that I have. Otherwise it looks like a match, to me.
