Need Help Please suggest a white vinyl to cover text

I need to cover some phone numbers and names on a real estate sign - what white vinyl will block out the text from showing through with one layer? Text is dark blue on white, so it's a pain.

Inexpensive would be best as I doubt I'll use it for anything else.

I've found it takes three layers of white 651 to completely block out the text, which is very time consuming and uses a ton of material.

Suggestions?

Digital print film has a grey adhesive which blocks out anything it covers.

You say inexpensive is important. Is paint and some masking tape an option?

Most digital vinyl has either a gray or black adhisive, use one of those types of films.

I'm not into printing yet so print film varieties are new to me

If you don't have print material. Lay black first as your block out layer and then white over top of that.

Use a vinyl with grey adhesive layer or lay down a grey piece then white

3641 is an economy calendered film and shrinks a great deal. 3651 or 3165 is a standard calandered film equivalent to 651.

It may shrink, but if its all you have on hand, the 3641 would have the masking properties you're looking for.

Just use blockout vinyl. The adhesive side is black and the top surface is white. Should work like a charm.
