Plotter stopped. help please

I have the ancient but lovely D120. It was rolling along a job and the cutting stopped mid way through the job. The machine was still running. I didnt know it stoppped the cut until I got ready to weed. I thought the blade holder may have released and the pressure wasnt there but that was not the issue. Any suggestions?

Try to reload driver on the computer.
possibly replace cable going to plotter.
check all little belts and gadgets. (professional terms there)

who knows what and why these things act like they do. If its still running that is a good sign.
