plus or minus printing white

I'm thinking of buying an Acuity 2504 HD flatbed that doesn't print white. My question is:
What are the ways to get around not printing white?
Is it worth it to buy this as opposed to buying a printer that does print white and incurring the cost?

It's pretty basic. If you print on allot of colored or clear substrates, you need white.
If you print on mostly white stock, you don't.
