pole covers.. baseball bats

customer would like to cover his 4.5" D steel pipes, aprox. 10' high.
2 pipes with a 3'x6' internally lit box between them... would like the covers to look like baseball bats.. ideas please....

Sounds like a fun project, but like pointjockey said, design the bats and wrap the poles. Ask him if he wants a wooden bat or aluminum bat look, and go for it.

They did a kids room in bats cut in half like wainscoting on ABC's Home Makeover a year or so back. It looked amassing. Probably the effect the client is looking for. Looked for photo but could not track one down. Sorry they don,t have much of a gallery at ABC.

You can also do it with aluminum but you might want to sub it to a sign/fab shop if fabrication isn't part of your business. The foam method is a good idea also, good luck.
