Possible damaged Head sp540v

Jackflush

On the sp540v: When do you know if your print head is damaged? Only the black test print is speckled all over with missing bars. I wasnt here when it happened but I was told the material wrapped up in the wheel on the sticky side causing it to bunch up resulting in multiple head strikes. Ive manually cleaned it and so far and all other three colors are printing just fine. Im trying to understand what to do next. Ive cleaned it changed wiper blades. I havent power cleaned it yet. I problly should do that next.

This is a pretty bad picture but the lines are evenly spaced in the black

head soak first and foremost I would say...in my opinion usually a headstrike or headsmear as it sounds just pushes gunk back up into the nozzle so soak it then run a cleaning .. if it gets better, keep at it...if it stays, probably damaged the nozzle plate

Take a look

Move the head to the left and take a close look at the bottom of the head. A mirror and a flashlite will help. We always say to never touch the bottom of the head but in this case you may have something stuck on it as was exposed to the sticky side of vinyl.

Thank you Ill look for info on the head soak process. Ive never done that one yet. And a thorough inspection of the head.
