powerclip into a text?

i've been trying for over an hour, googled and watched youtube videos.


i am trying to design a landscaping logo and want to add grass to the bottom of the font inside the lines but can't seem to power clip into fonts???

i have vector grass, and i then type the text i want, select the grass vector, click on effects, then powerclip into container, i then click on the text/container and i get "the object you selected is invalid"


i can draw a basic box and powerclip the grass into that no problem though.

What version of corel? (Not that it really matters, I don't think)...

I just tried it in x3, and I didn't have a problem....so for some reason it doesn't like the shape that your putting it into. First thought is have you done a distortion on the text?

If all else fails, try to convert the text to curves, and see if that works...

Also works for me in X3, without having to convert to curves.
