Pretty unique website

I've been a big fan of Newcastle Brown Ale for years. A friend sent me a photo he took today, showing an ad for some summer ale from them.

So I searched for it online and found their website and it's probably one of the most unique sites I've ever seen. It's flash driven, so if you don't have flash, it probably won't work, but I thought it was very well done.

A top web designer that I've followed in a way for years now... this guys flash work is amazing. Especially when you consider and look at some of the stuff he was doing in flash 10 years ago. Back then it was truly groundbreaking and jawdropping work.

I hope folks with a B2B site do not get too many ideas from sites like these....Most visitors to B2B sites just want the facts and if you have all that "dribble" on there, most visitors will be gone in a "flash"....

I agree - it needs to look very professional and nice but not gimmicky or complicated to figure out in any way. When I redid our site about a year ago ease of use and ease of finding what you are looking for were key factors in designing it.

Seems like alot of fancy stuff available out there, my download is to slow for all of them, XDude was the faster loading and seen some but to me all a waste unless in your 20s or younger looking for music, one of them I think was a rap group which would be good site then.
Yes maybe I'm out of touch but to me a quick loading website with facts, portfolio, contact, sure and whatever it also needs to make that sale.

I'm not suggesting anyone do their site like that, I just thought it was very unique when I opened it up and some guy walks up and starts talking to me. Click on stuff and it's actual people, like you are inside a commercial.

I thought that was pretty cool and very different than anything else I had seen.

This is my buddies site. We used to work together about 8 or 9 years ago. He was a great designer back then and he was teaching himself how to do 3D graphics. This is what he does now. Everything, and I mean everything is done in house.
I wish I could afford to have him work on my stuff.
