print banner on Mutoh VJ-1204

I contacted Signwarehouse, they said I can only print 720DPI and using 2 passes printing from existing profiles in Flexisign 8.5. I can't adjust the profile to print down to like 100DPI or anything like that. I think it's a waste of ink and money on the banner that people read like 10s feet away.

Anyone has any recommendation for printing banner efficiently on this printer? And what are your settings for your printer?

I just bought this printer and a newb in wideformating printing.

That's what I'm using, it runs 4 passes and I couldn't change it, since it's not editable.

While it is true that banners are usually viewed in distance, but our clients are inspecting them in close range. The higher resolution is to impress them!
