Print shop - Print Operator/ Sign Making/Vinyl Installer/Graphic Design

Ideal candidate will have very good knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience with creation of wide format graphics or vinyl installation is highly preferred.

Responsibilities for this position include:
Wide format and small format printing and finishing
Troubleshooting customers files and setting up jobs to print
Working with clients on projects to determine needs
Finishing print work including: mounting/grommets/edging/labeling/cutting
Graphic design
Working directly with the owner on special projects
Prioritizing incoming jobs to meet deadlines.
Sending proofs to clients for approval
Keeping office environment stocked, running and prepared for future jobs
Using in house printers to complete jobs
Scheduling and training of part time and new team members


Requirements:
10am-6pm Full time availability
Own transportation (MUST have a car)
Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Outgoing personality
Proficiency in Microsoft office, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Ability to work alone or in a team environment
Must be able to lift heavy boxes of print material or rolls of media
Ability to learn new software and techniques as industry evolves

Bonus experience:
Vinyl installation
RIP Software knowledge
Fiery experience


A positive attitude, effective time-management and multi-tasking abilities are required for this role. This position covers design, print, the administrative role for the office, with duties including but not limited to managing and prioritizing projects, answering calls/emails, maintaining invoices and more. Applicant must be a creative and adaptable individual capable of working alone as well as under pressure to meet deadlines and finish projects.

Compensation:
Based on experience
$500 per week base salary + overtime and bonuses

It sounds like you need someone with extensive print trade experience and the mentality to run their own shop.

It also sounds like like someone capable of doing that has the skills to work somewhere else or for themselves for FAR more then $26k per year.

If that's all you can afford to pay, I'd suggest sticking to 100hr work weeks and doing it all yourself until profits rise. Otherwise you're only going to be able to hire amateurs, which you will end up working longer hours to correct their mistakes anyway and at a greater cost than doing it yourself.

$75k per year, same exact price point I was at too for the position and description.
What you're asking for is a General Manager.
