Printed See Through Window Vinyl Help Please...

I have a customer with 2 windows about 4'x 5' that he needs to block the sun from beaming in. He is asking me to come up with something that will block the sun, be a printed sign, and if possible be see through.

With the perforated see through vinyl, will it stop the sun from making a monitor impossible to see when the sun shines through?

Are there different amounts of diffusion? If so what amount is recommended?

What brand is recommended?

Is there anyway to print it 2 sided so it can be seen from the inside and the outside?

Is it recommended to laminate this material after printing for indoor viewing?

Has anyone used a printed window blind instead of the see through vinyl?

Thanks!

Any other tips would be appreciated.

In those situations I have a professional tinter work with me. They will do a site survey, address the clients concerns and come up with a solution. Once they've done their work I can put my perf or graphics over it.(first surface)

Pro tint guys will also be able to run the calcs necessary for IG panels. YMMV

Already as mentioned. Perf however (even 70/30) will not totally block the sun and if hitting a monitor is still going to get glare. The only solution for that is to either move the monitor, install a light blocking blind, or completely block out the window in some way. I have seen printed blinds - saw some aluminum mini blinds printed on both sides even. Just need someone with a UV flatbed printer to print on them. Not super simple though and will take some testing and fiddling to get it just right but when done its a cool effect.

Thanks for the replies.

As far as blinds go, there is a local blind maker I was wondering if I could print on roll-up display material and then get him to make it into a blind.

Another blind idea is to print and apply to wide slat vertical blinds. I don't have easy access to a flatbed printer...

One thing I forgot to mention: The client said his windows get a lot of glare, so if a sign is sitting on the inside ledge facing out, from the outside it is very difficult to see. I think because of this if he wants to have both inside and outside the outside graphic needs to be applied to the outside.

Any more tips or ideas?

Letter the outside with 50/50 perf which will greatly reduce the sunlight and have them turn the desk around so it isn't getting the full blast of the sun rays.
