Printing and cutting larger than printer size

Hello,
I have a JV375SP 30" and was wondering if it is possible to say print/cut a logo that is 55" or so?

I know how to panel prints for larger but can you panel a cut job? If so how?

Thanks in advance!

I can panel prints in Ciberprint with no problem. Ciberprint also sets automatic cut lines to you offset specs + or - to the outside edge or the print. I would just set the job up in your design software as panels with cut lines in the size your printer and cutter needs and sent to the printer as separate files. If the print is of the nature you could hand trim (contour cut) after it is laminated. I have done both of these.

Jackpine, I see what you are saying but I would prefer to cut with the cutter if it is possible vs. hand cut.

BTW-- I am using Mimaki Fine Cut and RasterLink II software.

Thanks,
Kurt

Do this....
I would just set the job up in your design software as panels with cut lines in the size your printer and cutter needs and sent to the printer as separate files.
Then you can install using the overlap you created in the file.
I print, remove from the printer, laminate and then cut on using my Graphtec cutter as I would any other print/lam/cut job. It is a very good "work around" setting up panels and handling them as separate jobs.
I design in CorelX3, send as an eps to Ciberprint so I can activate my cut line.
