Hi All,

We have just bought a Roland VS-640 and a GR-640.

We need to be able to print the roland cut marks on the epson and be able to cut on the GR cutter.

Not even sure where to start...

any help would be great

Install all your printers and cutters in Onyx, you'll have to use that workflow if using different brand printers/cutters.

Add the Roland to onyx cut server. When you print, set the Roland as your cutter. When you hit print, onyx will send the cut file to cut server. Load the print into the cutter, and launch cut server, hit cut.

Hi All,

Thanks for all the help so far, appreciate the help.

We have got the Epson printing Reg marks for the Roland and have the Roland linked to Cut Server on Thrive.

After printing a file the cut file automatically goes straight to CUT Server, which is great.

after pressing cut on CUT Server, it goes straight into cutting and not scanning for the reg marks. so not cutting in the right place

any help again would be great appreciated

Thanks

When viewing your cut job in CutServer, on the right hand "Cut File Tools" menu, under "Registration Mark Detection" - is "Automatic Mark Detection" selected?

We had the same issues with the Roland GR, and many other issues. That plotter was nothing but problematic from day one. See if there are any firmware updates.
