Printing on Reflective

I have to stripe some police cars and it involves several stripes that are printed reflective.. The stripes that have color printed on them have dots in them? Can anyone tell me why this would be or is there a particular reason? What type of printer could have been used?

They may have been edged

Is it Oralite? We had to wipe our oralite down with alcohol before printing on it. Needless to say, I don't buy that brand any longer. 3M Scotchlite now.

its for when you are doing a sobriety test and they ask you how many you see. :ROFLMAO:

yeah its a halftone - edge or screened

Edge Print. We do them every day. You will have to have someone match the prints to the foils & print them with an Edge in order for the colors to match exactly. If it is a gradient; you will have to measure where it starts and stops.
