Printing on wristbands (BW and Color) - What printer?

We get asked a lot about printing wristbands. Customers also ask for color printing.
I know /have read) that using laser printers is doable, but because of temperature while printing, not all wristbandpapers can be used.
Also, I have read that there are some printers that can be used for this. Both with BW and Color print.

After searching a lot (probably wrong kind of searches) I have given up. So, hopefully, someone here can help me out with kind of printer (prefrerably not thermal) that can be used, and/or maybe point me in the right direction

The printable Tyvek wristbands I've seen advertise that they can be printed with a desktop inkjet printer (the kind you use in an office)
