Printing over White?

Newbie question:
I need to print on black cotton tees maroon lettering with a white outline. Can I print white solid lettering, flash and then print the maroon right on top of the white? The maroon lettering will be thinner so the white shows as an outline.

That is exactly the right thing to do. It will make the maroon show up much better than just it on black.
