Printing Red

Having issues when I print red. Gives an orange tint.. SW advised to always print with no color correction. I have to change the rendering to relative color.. or increase to 1440x1440 to get a nice red. Any suggestions? Mutoh VJ, Flex 8.x

+1 (though you may get a hint of banding at that resolution, depending on pass count).

Is there anyone where you can rent the equipment to create your own profiles?

No, but you can hire someone to make them for you, not sure what there costing these days but they use to be in the $1000.00 range per profile.

In flatbed printing you would hear that, lol

r=222 g=0 b=0

Play around with the "r" value. Anything from 220-235 gives an nice deep red.

This problem will never go away.
The real problem is the CMYK ink sets on digital printers.
Yes using spots or RGB is better but you will never get a rich deep red or orange or green or burgundy!
The only 4 colours for definite you can print is Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black and sometimes the RIP program can muck them up!
