Printing suddenly stops

I was printing a 16' x 20" banner from versa works on Roland SG3 540 when it stopped 90% through the job and a message came up saying “MEDIA HAS RUN OUT” when it hadn't . There is no option to try again. I have also just noticed I am unable to advance the material forwards using the touchscreen.

Man who touches printers inappropriately.
Sounds like the media detection sensor might be doing something wonky, the roll has shifted, or maybe there's paper fibers or other stuff built up on it. Don't have service docs on Rolands, but a common issue that can happen on lots of printers. It's usually on the back side of the machine, near the left side (on back) and there is usually a small recess or hole they tend to be mounted in.
