printing window perf

I recently purchased a printer and now have my first window perf job where the graphics on the side of the vehicle go over the windows. Just wondering what kind of settings I would use for printing... high quality, x2 overprint, uni-directional or bi-directional? I also have a lighted sign to do and will be printing on clear vinyl. Any tips or tricks on both or either of these materials would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I run a Mimaki JV33-160. I've had no problems running window perf through like any other vinyl. The clear vinyl is ran also the same way. Both of them are Oracal products, and I've had success running them both with specified Oracal profiles, as well as other profiles for color-matching purposes.

the search function is you best friend here.

before your questions can be answered,

what type of printer do you have?
what brand/model material are you using?

window perf does not get any special profile here, just make sure the backing is absorbent so the over spray is not an issue
this brings the next step of window perf being laminated VS non-laminated

a back light cabinet does take special profiles and there are SEVERAL techniques depending on your experience and the printer that is being used

I have a Roland VS-640, the perf is Clear Focus 50/50 and I haven't ordered the clear yet but was thinking about Oracal 3651. I'm getting ready to print a small sample first using the one of the Versacam profiles for perf.

We run all perf on the VW High Speed setting. No point trying to do a high res print when half of it's missing. All you do is waste ink and time and it doesn't look any better.
