Printing with LPT Port

Hey,

Been printing using the firewire port but its pot luck at times and have decided to us the lpt port as more reliable.

Problem is the printer will do about 3 head passes and stop at capping station every time. This has a serious damper on the production.

Any ideas why it would be doing this or is normal when printing with lpt.

Port settings are

Transmission Buffer 8192

Mode. ecp

SightLine

║▌║█║▌│║▌║▌█
Pretty much normal. A parallel port cannot transfer data fast enough to keep a wide format printer moving non-stop.

turn off your screen saver and any power saving settings............these will always cause problems when printing..............
