Problem opening customer supplied file

I am using Flexi 8.5 and I am having trouble importing a customer supplied file from illustrator 11 I have tried .eps all the way back to 8 .ai and pdf and always get an error on opening. Anyone have any Ideas?

I'm just seeing crop marks on the file brother.

He thinks that the problem is that he is on mac and I am pc would that be a problem?

Have the shmuck "save as" a version 8 like normal people do
and then resubmit!
