Problems whit Oracal 970RA – Flat white

Riskok

New Member
I did a flat white wrap a couple of weeks ago.
Now he has been driving for about 1000 kilometers and just text me a picture of the damages on his hood.
Nowhere else just the hood. Is this normal? Anything you can do to avoid this?

Best regards Patrik from Sweden

Defiantly appears to be rock chipping. If it did that to vinyl it would of taken the paint to bare metal. The only way to fix it is maybe relay the hood but then maybe do a clear no gloss over laminate on the hood and front bumper to prevent further damage.

I would say it's a driver problem not you or the wrap material. This stuff is tougher than paint, I am running it on my rallycross car and I would of destroyed my paint with rock chips but the vinyl media has held up. The customer probaly got behind a dump truck on the highway.
