Production Manager Help

I just ran into an issue on my desay plotter. It is making crazy cuts before it starts to cut the graphic. I know that they are bad about doing this. I am using a usb to serial adapter with flexi pro. I think there is a setting or something that is jacked up in my production manager. Could someone help. I dont want to start another desay bash thread. Everyone knows you get what you pay for. But this one will work good for what im wanting it to do if I can get these dang settings figured out. What im needing is someone to help me with where the settings should be in production manager. Or any other tips that my help. Thanks Brian

If I remember correctly it might help to reboot the plotter each time you use it to cut a file,..the cheaper plotters have problems with the ram used for buffers retaining corrupt info and the only way to clear the info is to reboot the plotter

in other words turn the plotter off for at least ten seconds between each cut file,...

edited to add,...you may have to restart flexi's production manager also each time,...

I'm messing with it some this morning and its like if I send it a big file it cuts but if I try to send a small file to it all heck just breaks loose and it just starts cutting random lines. I was trying to cut a sticker for a rear window and it was 50"x13" it wont cut that but I threw one of my construction yard signs in and it cut that fine.. SMH

Flexi 8.1, im using a dynex usb to serial in comm1, with the serial cable that came with the plotter. I saw in desay's website where they had a 1 ft long usb to serial could there be anything different in there usb to serial than the one I got from best buy?
