I've tried 5-6 ones everything seems to hot banner buckles in the machine doesn't feed out properly, getting head strikes and the banner seems to stretch on one side from over heating I can get a print out.
Anyone have any recommendations?
A lot of smooth banner media PVC products tend to get very soft from the heater systems in the HP Latex 200-series printers. This can cause them to stick to surfaces inside of the printer, and this can in turn cause head strikes.
It is not a media profile-related issue as much as a media feed issue with certain PVC banner media products.
The solution to this is to ensure that there is tension pulling the media forward through the dryer and curing zones. The take-up system can be very effective for this, particularly using the dancer available on the Latex 260 (L26500). Another approach that can work well is to use clamps to provide weight to pull on the leading edge of the media after it passes through the curing unit. This ensures that the media is advancing and not 'bunching up' inside of the printer.
