public parking symbol?

is the current symbol being used for public parking just a big "P" white on blue or is it a big "P" in a circle white on blue?

from my understanding it is the white P on blue.

however I believe that there are variations depending on where the sign is going. some are done in green

thanks, I thought it was just a P on blue too but the customer said the "new" parking signs have the "P" in a circle but not sure about that as we don't deal with this type of sign very often
