pump out ink & moving printer

amw

Longtime Members
We are moving our printer and it has to be stood on end..so i need to pump out all the ink and run cleaning fluid thru it. (of course lock the head with the blue thing)

What i am wondering is..
How many cleaning cartridges do i need to do this?
(2 or 4?)

Is there anything else i need to do to it before moving it?

Once i do this how long can it sit before it needs to be set back up?
Is it better to just set it back up right away, or does it matter?

The PC is NOT needed to pump out the ink and refill once moved?
Right?

Thanks for any help in advance!

In my VP-540 I need 2 cleaning cartridges installed when not pumping ink.

Isn't there any way at all you can avoid standing this valuable machine on end ?

You will then have to pump out the cleaning fluid... Don't forget this as the cleaning fluid can run out and damage anything from boards to ???

If you're going upstairs to a second floor, I would suggest cutting a hole in the roof and lowering it straight in with a crane. Would seem to be the safer route:thumb:
