Putting vinyl adhesive on a vinyl banner?

I have some banners that I printed and sewn up and ready to install, then the customer said he made a mistake and needs to put a different date on it. It is a black banner with just white text for the date, so its an easy cover up, but any input on what vinyl adhesive would be best to stick on it that will hold up through weather conditions. Its on a 16oz vinyl adhesive

um just use vinyl...it comes with its own adhesive...black patch cover up, white new date, or print, cut, stick

If you plan on doing a printed change, use an adhesive that has a block out adhesive so that you can't see the image being covered up. Otherwise cover with black vinyl cut new white letters and apply over black vinyl patch.
