Puzzling EnVision 375 Problem

Hello all,
I am having a strange issue with my envision 375.
When I power up, it seems to beep normally, then gives me a screen that says:
Gerber Scientific Products
G.4/F.2/E.0/G
*No Foreign Language*
S/N:xxxxxxxxx

(just omitted the actual serial number)

It will go to blank if I just leave it, but if i hit one of the function buttons, it homes up, but...

It doesn't stop where it should (a few inches up from basepoint) it pauses there, then goes all the way to the basepoint and stops.

The buttons beep when pushed, but don't work.

I can send a job over and it flashes that its there, but again, the buttons don't do anything, so I can't move the head.

Please Help!

I don't have a service plan, but I really need this thing working!

Thanks in advance for any help.

I've never had the problem, so I'm no help other than to say it sounds serious.

Do you have a Gerber distributor as a regular supplier? They can both supply you a loaner and assist in diagnosing and repairing your plotter.

Looked through the manual today and I think I may have figured out what is going on.

The screen I am getting on start up is the firmware version screen and can be accessed if you hold down any key on start up.

The carriage is slewing down because the arrow key is stuck, keeping the rest of the keys from working.

I am going to take it apart and clean it good, hopefully this works.

Worst case, I have a bad key pad, which is about 350.

Much better than a 1000 dollar board.

If anybody has a spare keypad laying around, let me know. ha.
