That's classic cross-contamination. The most likely issue is the damper is failing but try this first. You need to clean everything (Bottom of head, Cap top, Wiper) to rule out dirtiness as the issue. After that, I would test the maintenance station to make sure it is not clogged. It may allow ink to flow through but if there is a ton of ink left in the cap top after a cleaning, it is at least partially clogged and that is causing the issue. Usually you can clean out the clog using a syringe and cleaning solution. If ink is flowing through properly, I would change the dampers and cap top, which should be changed at least once per year anyway. If you get the dampers, cap tops and maintenance station running perfectly and you still have the same issue, the inside of your head is damaged and you need a new one.
