I am beginner for jv33 ,
I see print mode select "fast print" as default of the program
but today I try to normal print it very different quility.
so Is this normal ? and Do you use fast print ? (for any artwork please example)
and What is standard for you to use ? fast or normal (because I see it select fast print as I install the program rasterlink)

Thank in advance.

PS.sorry for my language.

Fast print

All I can tell you is don't check it off, I just got a new cjv30-130 the tech that set it up said if you check fast print you will see me in 4 years to replace the heads. It's a pain because you have to un- check it every time unless you set up a hot folder with the settings programed in. Don't know why I have to read the Rasterlink manual.

print speeds

hello! i have owned a mimaki jv33 since 2010. the printer was three years old when i got to it. as far as i know, the speed doesn't matter, its the number of passes you lay the ink down in. My tech guy never mentioned about crapping out the heads by running it at full speed. And, i find it hard that the software that CAME with mimaki would be that much of a PIA to use. Having to "uncheck " that box every time would be maddening. :banghead::banghead:
I have not set up those "hot" folder that automatically adjust the settings yet......
While i am on a second print head, it was more of a leaky ink pack (the yellow).
i actulally never installed the cover after that. i always want to check the ink fills on the head to make sure they NEVER destroy the head again. that is down right dastardly of mimaki to creat such an engineering mousetrap.

i used to have 8 inks, and got ride of that pesky white ink. SO, i doubled up on the fours.
good luck!
