i have a customer that wants an aluminum sign with reflective vinyl on it would i be better to digitally print it on reflective vinyl or will that be too much reflective ,or just do it in vinyl

We do both. Simple No Parking type stuff just vinyl it.

Print directly onto reflective vinly. Quicker, faster, cheaper. Multi-color also.

Reflective colors (red, blue, green etc) on a non-reflective white background does not turn out well. The white still throws a little light back, just enough to muddle it up because it's not bright enough to contrast with the letters.

Lighter reflective colors on a non reflective dark background work just fine.
