QuickBooks Pro - Upgrading~Where to Buy?

I currently have QB Pro 2003 and want to upgrade asap.
On their website it looks like $229.00 for the full retail package and $199.00 for the upgrade.
A quick search on ebay shows QB Pro 2011 full retail packages for $121.50 from several sellers with great feedback.

Just looking to see where everyone got theirs from and what you paid. I sure don't want to buy a fake but also don't want to pay more than I need to.

Any input or links to software known to be legit would be great!

Did you look on Amazon? I buy lots of things on Amazon and I'm comfortable with their customer service.

DO NOT UPGRADE IF YOU ARE ON A MAC!

What a #$%^& nightmare!

We upgraded to multi-user. Been a disaster. they release updates literally every day and thing still doesnt work, or works occasionally. DONT DO IT

I'm running PCs here. Amazon looks like good deals too. Just hoping for a direct referral to a known legit source.

If you switch your credit card processing over to Intuit (with no contract) they'll send it to you for free.

Their processing rates were HALF of what I'd been paying, too.

I am using mine that I got in 1997 or 98. It was a trick, but I got it
to work on our window 7 system. I guess I need to update....

Really? that sounds like a great option. Is that what you did and got the software for free?

Pat, How fast does Intuit deposit the funds to your account? I'm currently at next day which is nice to have the consistency. Even on Saturdays & Sundays.

Yes. I don't see the offer on the site anymore but I'm willing to bet its available if you ask for it. When I signed up and they completed the switch over they emailed me a link to download Quickbooks Pro and all of my activation/registration info.

With no contract I figured I could dump it in a month if I wasn't happy with it but it's working for me.

Yeh, Pat interested to learn more. Right now we take credit cards for payments through the web site but its a dual entry system because the payments dont automatically sync to QB so we have to manually reenter it---

So how does a client pay their bill through QB - you prepare it, send them a link to pay online?

I get 24 hour deposits. I've actually kind of cheated the system a couple of times if I got a large credit card sale in the morning. I've settled transactions at 10:00 am and had the money in my account at 10:00 the next morning.

Dan, I'm not set up for payments directly through Quickbooks. Intuit handles the charges run through the credit card machine at the cash register. I do have people I invoice (through) Quickbooks that I keep a credit card on file for but I just manually enter the card info for them.

I'll look into this. I think I may be under a contract for a while longer with my current processor and credit card reader setup. But If I can get the new quickbooks at Sam's for $99, that would be great also.
Thanks

Ended up going with the $99 deal at Sam's club. Regularly $175.00.
Sale ends this Sunday, the 6th!

Thanks for the tip!
