Rastek H652 UV Flatbed.....thoughts???

We are looking at getting some new equipment. Looking to get something that can do a direct to print as well as still be able to do roll to roll. We got a quote for the Rastek H652 UV Flatbed, just wanted to see if anyone out there has one or has worked with one. Just trying to see/hear about some of the Pro's and Con's or if there is another piece of equipment that we should be looking at? Thanks again for your time if you choose to reply, SKD

Vutek doesn't want to hear the name Rastek again, they are slowly phasing the Rastek line out because of the bad rep it has. Something new like EFI worldwide printers will soon be replacing Rastek.

If you like the roll option type Hybrid flatbed look into the FB500 from HP. Reliable and for the most part comments on this board have been very positive.

Pricing should be similar.

We just commissioned a H652... Pretty happy with the machine excellent print quality though it is a manual machine compared to the FB500.

The FB500 was our first choice but we went with the Rastek for its 6 pico drops and quality print over speed. If you need more production speed the FB500 would be the go!

PS - Its true that EFI are dropping Rastek.
