RE: Mutoh VJ-1628MH

Does anyone out there have experience using this model of Mutoh, or the 1627MH?
They claim 2 1/2 year outdoor durability unlaminated, is that your experience?
Also how does the ink perform on standard vinyls? How about on plastics like polystyrene and polyethylene?
Are you running with the white ink and varnish or just CMYK? Mutoh is offering some great pricing on this hybrid and I was
wondering if it all that it claims to be. Thank you for your feedback.

we just recently acquired a vj1617h, upgraded to MP31 inks
we seem to be a small, select group

is yours setup tp print white?
it certainly turns the printer into a thirsty b***ch
we go through a little bit more than one 500ml pouch in seven days, IF WE PRINT NOTHING but nozzle checks

it seems that temperature is very critical as far as adhesion. if the temp is a little too low, you can wipe a banner clean with an alcohol wipe

Varnish may have been the wrong word, they might call it clear. Yes MP31 inks
I was just researching the model and was curious if it printed on plastics.
Why is yours using so much ink, is it because of the white?

if you do 5 color (+ white) it has to flush the hell out of it to protect the head (or try to)

they should print on damn nesr anything, coro, sintra, acrylic, styrene, even glass
fibreboard, mdf, aluminum, etc

i will fond the 92 page document that mutoh has for this product line & post the link

Is this a product that did not do well for Mutoh and it's users? It's on sale for 40% off of its $49K MSRP.
