News Reece Supply charging for deliveries

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
When you buy tires for your trucks or other vehicles, do you see all the hidden costs like balancing fees, certain taxes, disposal of old tires, delivery and other costs right upfront..... or do you see it once the invoice is given to you ?? Then you go to the guy and say..... what's this for ?? What's that for ?? They explain and you pay.

When the customer reviews the invoice, they see all costs, including items we discussed, after thought portions and the other costs added on at the end.

What happens if a customer brings in a filthy truck ?? Do you charge to clean it ?? If you don't you should cause cleaning isn't part of the quote, unless you're wrapping, then it's spelled out up front.

So, some woman comes in and wants her lunch buggy lettered in a particular font, you thought you had, but don't have afterall. Do you buy it and not get reimbursed for it ??
Needing to charge extra for unforeseen costs etc. is fine as long as the customer is informed first. When I get my tires changed, they show me the full cost upfront and I approve it. If there's a charge that wasn't discussed ahead of time on the final bill, I absolutely would contest it.

I understand what you're getting at, but I think you're missing the point.

I think this is more that you goto a tire shop,.get an invoice for $450, pay the invoices then when you get home you see they charged you $500... And never mentioned, or line items the $50 on additional fees.

You authorized $450.... And then they charged $500, which is, in pretty much every way fraud and against the credit card company policies. And if the person they did that to were to initiate a chargeback.... The company would get into quite a bit of shit by visa / MasterCard for it.

Now had they called and said our system didn't line item the $50, the real bill is $500 and you approved it.. that's still a bit slimey, but more understanding, especially if the $25 shipping is new.

Very.... and I mean very few people use credit cards here anymore. Our customers are either sent an invoice with all these charges itemized or if they are paying at the front counter, they receive an invoice immediately showing these items. No one is ever blindsided. In fact, our credit card company puts a 4% charge on each and every transaction which they keep and I tell people that upfront. This is not fraud in any sense, as several credit card companies are starting to do this same policy. It also shows up on both parties receipt.

Not listing the delivery cost is shady.
If you are going to charge, do it up front, as most of use are reselling products, not having the total(s) cost means the difference of a profit or loss

Will have to confirm our last order wasn't clipped with this dee
