Reflective with lightening bolt artwork help needed please

The last thing I have left on my son's race car is the numbers. We are doing reflective, printing black and I want to put a lightening bolt inside but I only want to really see it when the light is hitting it. I've done this before with grays but I'm struggling with this. I have to order them out because I dont' have any reflective.

I want it in normal lighting to look like the left but then when the light shines on it, look like the right side.

It's inspired by Dimebag Darrells lightening guitar . Dimebag is on the front hood in reflective with his red beard. If you know, you know. ("In Dime We Trust" on the spoiler, little reflective CFH's here and there hidden. Way more work than is necessary for a dirt car...but I'm the mom so that's what I do LOL

Hey Stacey, Have you considered printing the lighting bolt with white ink on black reflective vinyl?
Or Just printing the lightning bolt with black ink on black reflective (it will be pretty much invisible until illuminated.)
Just a reminder that black reflective looks white/grey when illuminated.
Good luck!

I was wondering about that...I should maybe just get a roll of black and then print on that...good idea!

Now, depending on size, I'd just order sample sheets from fellers, and print on a good cast clear. I hate loading something as expensive as reflective to do test prints.
Here's an interesting one, lay any vinyl under the black reflective, making up the lighting bolt, giving an embossed look to the 1, and hopefully making for some interesting reflections.

I like that idea too!

The bad news is racing is Saturday so I just ordered some prints and I'll see what they look like. Based on last year, he will need new numbers after week 2 so I might be able to use both methods stated above! LOL
